What are your hours of operation?
We open from 8am to 5:30pm, with our preschool program running 8am–4pm. Most preschools finish at 3pm, so our extended hours are designed around working families.
When do you close?
Our centre operates 52 weeks a year and closes only on public holidays — there are no term breaks to cover.
How do I enrol my child?

Can I book a walkthrough?

Do I need to bring a packed lunchbox?
Charlestown East Preschool is a lunchbox centre. To prepare children for school, we encourage parents to pack a healthy morning tea and lunch. We provide afternoon tea for all children here past 4pm.

Is there additional preschool government funding?
Yes. Get in touch and ask us whether your child is eligible for Start Strong under the government funded initiative.
My child isn't 3 yet. Can I still enrol?
As soon as your child turns 3 they can commence at Charlestown East Preschool. Given demand, we'd encourage you to join our waitlist before then.

About us
Charlestown East Preschool is a boutique centre — accommodating only 30 children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old.
What you can expect:
- A dedicated preschool — we only accept children between 3 and 5 years old
- A carefully constructed program — we're passionate about teacher-led and child-led experiences, and believe there is a need for both
- An intentional 'school ready' routine — designed to give children the best possible start for school
- Extended hours — we remain open until 5:30pm, 52 weeks a year, to support busy families
- Incursions and excursions — all included for a wholesome learning experience
